Hubble Directly Observes a Planet Orbiting Another Star
NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has taken the first visible-light snapshot of a planet circling another star. The planet, called 'Fomalhaut b', orbits the bright southern star Fomalhaut, located 25 light-years from Earth.

LRO Named One of Time's Best Inventions of 2008
It may have been a long time since the U.S. built the world's best cars, but nobody can touch us when it comes to spacecraft. NASA is about to prove that again with the planned launch in February 2009 of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO).
