Vision

To develop and communicate new knowledge through advanced optical concepts that are ultra-lightweight, deployable, and/or adaptive to the environment of space. Mission.

Mission

To promote advanced research and development of large aperture, lightweight space optical systems. This includes research in the areas of optoelectronic materials, components and systems, compact optical information processing, and high-speed optical communication.
